I want to thank you for completing the online survey. It has helped tremendously in preparing for the course and understanding your backgrounds. I have to say that this is one of the smallest groups I have ever taught and one of the most advanced. I will still try to cover the existing curriculum while offering challenges and new material.  I have been a classroom teacher, a computer teacher, technology coordinator, and now I am working as an enrichment and technology teacher in a K-8 school. I am originally from Maine and live in New Hampshire now. My mother has been involved in the Maine Laptop Initiative for several years so I know where some of you are coming from and the types of things your schools are doing. 
I am so excited to be teaching in a Mac lab! Macs are my computer of choice for the amazing creative possibilities.

Please let me know if you have any problems completing the video assignment before the weekend or creating any of the accounts. I have already received some of your Skype user names and book choices through the online forum. I will be posting a weekend schedule on MyLesley before we meet this weekend. 

Apparently, the discussion area is not allowing students to modify comments once submitted. I am working on trying to change the settings for this. In the meantime, just try to double check your entries before you submit.

Let's hope the snow stays away during our drives on Saturday. I know some of you have some distances to drive. I will ask Andy Littlefield about how cancellations are made, but from the weather report this morning it does not sound like it will be a major storm and it may not even reach our area.
